Scripture Verses for the Wrung-Out Moms
Motherhood is hard, stretching and push my limits.
It is one of the most sanctifying roles I have.
Do you also have days when you are just weary - weary of getting up again in the middle of the night? weary of disciplining about the same thing again?
I've totally been there and I want to encourage you:
Fight the good fight. Motherhood is so worth it. Jesus is so worth it.
I'll share with you a few verses that I keep going back to whenever I'm just wrung-out.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you,
for my power is made perfect in weakness."
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses,
so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses,
insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant,
but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees,
and make straight paths for your feet,
so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
